betPawa Deposit Guide for Tanzania

Deposit

Funding an existing betPawa account in Tanzania begins in the Deposit section after sign-in. Deposits are available through Airtel, Vodacom M-Pesa, Mixx by Yas and Halo Pesa. Each method supports deposits from TSh100 to TSh5,000,000. Customers can deposit through the website or app, while all four mobile money providers also support USSD deposits. A few preparation checks can help prevent failed authorisation or account-crediting problems.

Before You Deposit: Check Your Phone Number and Payment Account

Make sure you can access the correct registered account before beginning. Check the profile details after sign-in so that the payment is directed to the intended betting balance. This is especially important when more than one person uses the same phone or device.

Use a mobile money account registered in your own name. The payment method used for deposits and withdrawals must not be registered under a different name from the betPawa account. Keep the phone connected to that mobile money account available throughout the transaction so that you can approve the payment request.

The selected payment account should have enough funds to cover the deposit and any mobile money charge. betPawa does not set a universal telco fee; charges or taxes can be imposed by the payment service provider. Before confirming, compare the phone number, deposit amount and payment details.

Enter private credentials only within the mobile money authorisation process. Never disclose a PIN, password or one-time security credential to another person. Keep the confirmation message or Transaction ID until the deposit appears in both the betting balance and Statements.

How to Make a betPawa Deposit

Deposits can be made through Airtel, Vodacom M-Pesa, Mixx by Yas or Halo Pesa. The minimum deposit is TSh100 and the maximum is TSh5,000,000 for each method. Online deposits are approved on the connected phone, while USSD deposits use the relevant operator code and betPawa reference number 445445.

Depositing From the betPawa Site or App

Learning how to deposit money in betPawa through the website or app involves choosing one of the supported mobile money methods and approving the request on the connected phone.

  1. Sign in to your existing account. Open the website or app and enter the details connected to your registered profile. Confirm that the account shown belongs to you before starting any financial transaction.
  2. Open the Deposit section. Select Deposit from the authenticated account interface.
  3. Select a payment method. Choose Airtel, Vodacom M-Pesa, Mixx by Yas or Halo Pesa. Do not send money to an unlisted phone number, person or financial account.
  4. Enter the intended amount. Deposits must be between TSh100 and TSh5,000,000.
  5. Review and approve the request. Confirm the payment request on the phone connected to the selected mobile money account. Telco charges may apply.
  6. Check the betting balance. Successful deposits should appear immediately in the balance and under Account > Statements. Keep the confirmation message or Transaction ID until the credited amount has been checked.

Payment approval and crediting the betting balance are connected but separate stages. Avoid submitting the same request repeatedly while the first transaction is still being processed.

Depositing by USSD From Your Phone

betPawa supports USSD deposits through Airtel, Vodacom M-Pesa, Mixx by Yas and Halo Pesa. All four methods use reference number 445445, with deposits from TSh100 to TSh5,000,000.

  1. Choose the mobile money service linked to your betPawa account.
  2. Dial the corresponding USSD code: 15060# for Airtel, 15000# for Vodacom M-Pesa, 15001# for Mixx by Yas or 15088# for Halo Pesa.
  3. Open the Pay Bills or Gaming section in the mobile money menu and select betPawa.
  4. Enter reference number 445445.
  5. Enter the deposit amount.
  6. Enter your mobile money PIN and confirm the payment.
  7. Wait for the SMS confirmation, then check the betPawa balance and Account > Statements.

betPawa Deposit Methods, Limits and Fees

betPawa Tanzania supports four mobile money deposit methods:

  • Airtel: TSh100 minimum and TSh5,000,000 maximum
  • Vodacom M-Pesa: TSh100 minimum and TSh5,000,000 maximum
  • Mixx by Yas: TSh100 minimum and TSh5,000,000 maximum
  • Halo Pesa: TSh100 minimum and TSh5,000,000 maximum

Telco fees may apply to these transactions. Any payment-provider charges or taxes are imposed by the relevant mobile money provider rather than forming a single fixed betPawa deposit fee.

Successful deposits should be credited immediately to the betting balance and recorded under Account > Statements. A deposit made using a different phone number can be credited to the betPawa account linked to that number instead of the account the player intended to fund.

Keep the general deposit conditions separate from withdrawal requirements and responsible-gambling controls. The TSh100 minimum and TSh5,000,000 maximum above apply to deposits through these mobile money methods and should not be treated as withdrawal limits.

If Your betPawa Deposit Has Not Arrived

Successful deposits should normally appear immediately in both the betPawa balance and Account > Statements. If the payment does not appear, first determine whether the request was completed and whether the correct phone number was used.

  1. Review the transaction message. Check whether the mobile money service recorded the transaction as successful, failed, cancelled or pending.
  2. Check Account > Statements. A successful deposit should appear there as well as in the main account balance.
  3. Check the financial account. Confirm whether money was deducted. Avoid making a duplicate payment simply because the betting balance has not yet changed.
  4. Confirm the phone number. If the deposit was made from a different number, the funds may have been credited to the betPawa account linked to that number.
  5. Save the evidence. Retain the Transaction ID, confirmation message, amount, date and phone number. Do not include passwords, PINs or security credentials in a support message.
  6. Contact Customer Support if the deposit still does not appear. Provide the phone number and Transaction ID so the payment can be traced.

Setting a Deposit Limit on betPawa

A betPawa deposit limit sets a personal monthly deposit amount. It is a soft limit: reaching it triggers a warning, but the customer can confirm and proceed with another deposit. The limit resets automatically on the first day of each calendar month.

  1. Go to Account > Manage Account > Deposit limit.
  2. Enter the monthly deposit limit and confirm it. The limit takes effect immediately.
  3. Use the progress bar to track deposits made during the current month and the amount remaining before the limit is reached.
  4. Deposits made earlier in the same month also count. For example, setting a limit after already making deposits does not reset the month’s total.
  5. If a deposit would take the monthly total above the selected limit, a warning appears and additional confirmation is required to continue.
  6. The limit can be changed or deleted. It automatically resets at the beginning of the next calendar month.

Deposit limits work best alongside regular account-history reviews, planned session breaks and a clear spending budget. When gambling is no longer manageable, stop depositing and use the responsible-gambling or support options available through the account.
